The Republic of the Congo neighbours are Gabon, Cameroon, Central African Republic, the democratic Republic of Congo; this last one with whom it is separated, partially, by the river Congo then Oubangui, and Cabinda (Angola).

Congo is sometimes a named Congo-Brazzaville to avoid confusing with the democratic Republic of Congo so called Congo-Kinshasa.
